QUESTION: DOES IT TAKE OUT STAINS THAT HAVE SET IN A FOR A WHILE FOR EXAMPLE NAIL POLISH OR CRAYON. ALSO CAN THIS MOP BE STORED ON A WALL RACK
• This mop can easily be stored on a wall rack. I cannot say from experience as to whether this would take out stains that have set in for a while. I would doubt it, but this is just my opinion, due to the fact that an extensive amount of scrubbing is necessary to take out any significant level of dirt or grime.
• My guess is that if you have not been able to get out a stain previously with other cleaning solutions this light steam mop will not do it. I find that it is helpful in getting things like hairspray fall out off my bathroom tile floor but the grout lines require a different cleaning method. This little steam mop is better than the plain Swiffer wet mop pads and it does store easily on a wall rack.
• I have not used it on surfaces with any sort of waxy mark made by a crayon and I'm going to guess that you'll still need to use nail polish remover or some such to remove it from the floor. There is a metal loop on the handle for hanging it up when not in use.
• I don't know about the crayon but no it doesn't take out nail polish. It can be stored on a wall rack. It does well getting out most dirt but not sure about about stains that have set for a while.
• I am hoping you are talking about a surface other than carpet. This doesn't work on carpet; not that kind of steam cleaner. If on a hard surface, nail Polish is acrylic, try nail polish remover. Crayon is waxed based so try getting the wax off by freezing it with an ice cube, then try nail polish remover as well. Though I wouldn't use it on wood as it more than likely will take off the wood sealant.
• i do think this mop can be stored on wall rack but honestly do not know about nail polish or crayon stains that have set for some time. i would not think so as these are very harsh materials. i can attest to the fact that steam boost did remove dirt discoloration in my grout and this was a blessing to me.

QUESTION: HOW TO EMPTY WATER
• There is a twist cap at the top of the attached container for the water. You have to twist it off to open the container to pour in the water. To empty, just twist it off (it's attached so it won't fall off) and pour the remaining water out.
• Diane G.'s answer is what I would try.
• You have to just unscrew the cap (where you added the water) and tilt the unit over the sink.
• Simple. Remove plug on top and turn upside down over bathtub and any water in tank will drain out.
• Really don't know I gave it as a gift
• I have no idea! I just leave it in.

QUESTION: WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE STARTER KIT?
• The Swifter Bissell and two cleaning pads. You can buy a package of 20 at you grocery store (I got mine at Fred Meyer).
• cluded are (2) cleaning pads with Fabreze and instructions. You really don't need anything else. It operates with water to produce steam when you plug it in. I love my Steamboost. It gets my tile cleaner than it has ever been. I don't like the cleaning pads that contain Fabreze because I don't like the scent but they have unscented ones at Walmart.
• Mop in three snap together pieces and only two pads. You may want to order a supply (20 for$9) when you place your order.
• the mop and 2 of the pads. not 2 boxes of pads. just 2 pads. i would go ahead and get a box of pads. they are a good price, and you will get free shipping over 25.00. thats what i did. if you get a box of pads, look in the bottom left corner of the screen. there may even be a dollar off coupon you can click on. it was there when i bought mine. i don't know if it is still there are not.
• mop thing in thee sections. they just snap together. and only two pads. you might want to consider ordering an additional box (20 more) for like $8)
• The mop and two cleaning pads
• Just the steamboost cleaner itself and TWO cleaning pads. I was a little disappointed about that. However, I had a LOT of regular Swiffer wetmop pads left over from using just the wetmop. I discovered that I can use those on the steam mop. They may not work QUITE as well, but I felt good about being able to use them. The steam mop pads are 50 cents each, and I need about three to do my laminate floors!
#Steamboost_Steam_Mop
QUESTION: HOW LONG IS THE CORD SINCE IT HAS TO BE PLUGGED IN FOR THE STEAM?
• I think it's about 10' , so it's long enough to do a whole living room without having to unplug it.
• It is very long, I have a small house and I can plug it into a central location and do the whole floor. I would say about 20 or 30 feet, if you had a big house I would say big enough to do any room without unplugging.
• Wow it's long. I would say at least 5 feet or more.
• Guesstimating 25ft. I just used it this morning and my tile floors look and feel spotlessly clean . Smells good too!

QUESTION: HOW WELL DOES IT CLEAN GROUT LINES ON CERAMIC TILE?
• Hi. This is more for a very small area, to sanitize. Or you will make trips to the sink, for more water. I use a water bottle to fill it-it has a small container - and a small hole to fill it.A Water bottle fills the container, for the water. I was disappointed, as the water container/machine could have been a little bigger for the money. I have just used a Mr Clean Magic Eraser Mop, for those grout lines. I found if I add some bleach, it gets stains or set it dirt out-with the Mr Clean. Just make sure if you have pets, it dries well-or go over with plain water.
• I would say its effortless.Steam without any chemicals and clean surface.
• I do not know because I have not used it for cleaning grout lines. I would have my doubts if they are really soiled.
• cleans but leaves streaks on untextured tile.
• I have ceramic tile in my bathroom and it does beautifully on the tile. It doesn't make the grout to appear any cleaner. With that being said, I've never encountered a mop or steam mop that truly cleans grout.
• I can only vouch for how it generally cleans, as I don't have tile. In general, it does a fine job, but I have switched to a cloth cleaning head, as my floors are very high gloss, and any cleaner left some streaks,(the cleanser on any of the included cleaning pads) Also, the heat from the steam isn't too hot for laminate floors, and the steam dries very quickly. I'm satisfied with the way it cleans, but can't say what it will do on grout lines. Good luck.
• I'm sorry I can't answer that. I have only used it on wooden floors.

QUESTION: CAN YOU USE REGULAR SWIFFER WET MOPPING CLOTHS AS REFILLS? I HAVE A TON LEFT AND WANT TO KNOW IF I COULD USE THIS ON THE STEAMBOOST.
• I've never tried the regular Swiffer mop cloths but see no reason why they wouldn't work. If you still have your old mop, take a cloth and bring it from the bottom onto the top of the mop on both sides. The steam mop has four places on top when the cloth fits in.
• don't know, ask the manufacturer
• I think so I would anyway.
• i returned mine, did not work for my house so i am sorry, i can not answer this for u.

QUESTION: HAS ANYONE TRIED TO USE A MICROFIBER CLOTH INSTEAD OF THE DISPOSABLE PADS?
• the disposable pads are designed to go on the steam boost. if swiffer has a micro fiber pad, made to stay on on the mop, i don't know about it. the shark steam mop has a micro fiber pad. also the disposable swiffer pads have the cleaner in them. a microfiber pad doesn't. someone posted that not much steam comes out of the mop. that is true, especially compared to the shark steam mop. however 100% of the bottom of the swiffer gets so hot it will burn your hand. on the shark steam mop, only the middle of the pad gets real hot. i have started cleaning my linolium floors with the swiffer steam boost. and i am cleaning my hardwoods with the microfiber shark steam mop. i spray some harwood floor cleaner on the hardwood, then use the steam mop. it takes at least 2 swiffer pads to clean my my kitchen and bathroom floors. the swiffer cleans them really well. but the pads are expensive. if i could have only one, however i would not give up my swiffer steam boost mop. it cleans really well, and is hot enough to kill germs.
• No, I haven't.
• I don't know if any one tried a cloth. I am still trying to get my money back after returning the product. It is a poor product and the company is hard to deal with.
• I did and it work great but I think my biggest issue would be the button, having to be pressing the button constantly gets annoying and it hurts your hand.
• Not yet. But I think you can use the wet swiffer pads instead of paying $9-$15 problem is not a lot of steam comes out
#Steamboost_Steam_Mop
QUESTION: CAN I USE MICROFIBER CLOTH WITH SWIFFER BISSELL STEAMBOOST
• I don't see why not, the attachment slots are at the four corners and should secure any type of cloth, depending on the thickness.
• Absolutely!!!!
• Yes. As long as it doesn't cover the two steam vents on either side of the mop head.
• Don't waste your money on the Swiffer period. The pressure of the steam isn't powerful enough to clean anything. Get a Eureka. Much more powerful and a much bigger water tank. The Swiffer is cheap and flimsy. Not worth the $50.

QUESTION: I CURRENTLY HAVE A SHARK STEAM MOP, BUT IT IS BROKEN AND I'M LOOKING TO REPLACE IT. HOW DOES THIS PRODUCT COMPARE TO THE SHARK? PROS/CONS? THANKS!
• I have the Steam Mop, too. This is cheaper (if I remember correctly, but I know this Bissell costs about $50 everywhere) and IMO works better when you use it with the cloths. I used it AFTER I had already steamed the floor and I still got a lot of dirt on the cloth, it really surprised me! The only CON I've come across with this is that you have to buy more cloths. Since I have a regular steamer still I've still used that between times when the floor looks like it needs a better clean up. If you have a fabric cloth big enough and thin enough to stick the corners into the little spots where the cloth goes you can use it with just the fabric and it works just like a regular steamer.
• I have never used the Shark but I really like the Swiffer it does a great job on our stained concrete floors. The pros are that the card is really long so you aren't constantly having to change plugs all the time. The only con is that you have to continuously press the steam button and can get a little uncomfortable if you are doing large spaces.
• I haven't used the Shark, sorry. But I really like this item. It is easy to use and steams right away.
• I haven't used the Shark so I'm not sure how it compares.
#Swiffer_Bissell_Steamboost_Steam_Mop
QUESTION: CAN THIS BE USED ON WALLS?
• no, well I wouldn't
• I don't think so, it uses steam which would damage drywall and paint.
• I would never turn anything upside down that contained hot water. You never know if it might leak down on you. There are steamers designed to do that type of thing. They have tanks that stay on the floor and a hose that attaches to a wand that can reach floors, cabinets, etc.
• I don't see why not. I use it on my baseboards all the time. The steam is hot, so be careful not to burn yourself.
#Swiffer_Bissell
QUESTION: DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW THIS PRODUCT WORKS ON VINYL FLOORS?
• It works fine on all floors. It spits out steam on either side of the base and you mop up any wet that's left behind with a pad on the bottom. Simple. What it doesn't do is clean with a detergent, so you may want to wash the floor with soapy water from time to time. What I like is that it sanitizes. I run a doggy daycare from my home and keeping my floors sanitized is an issue for me.
• It worked great on the vinyl floor in my laundry room. You have to vacuum first, it won't pick up debris, but the steam boost does a good job of getting up dirty marks like footprints and spills. My vinyl has a matte finish so I didn't see any streaks. On my shiny bathroom ceramic tile it left a few streaks that were easily mopped up with a towel.
• I used it once and never used it again. I think this product is such a waste of money... It is just a piece of plastic, very flimsy and the steam comes out in small bursts. Get a Eureka!!!
• Yes, it works well on my vinyl floor in the kitchen and tile in the bathroom. It does not work as well on my slate floor in an entry way, I guess the surface is not smooth enough. My Swiffer Wet Jet works well on vinyl, tile and slate and I think it is because the cleaning pad is thicker. The Steamboost works better on smooth even floors.

QUESTION: $20.00 DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "FRUSTRATION-FREE PACKAGING" VS "STANDARD PACKAGING" ANY IDEA WHAT THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE 2??
• I don't know but I certainly would not chose The 20.00 difference in the cost. Ridiculous
• Nope, but I did the $20 cheaper one and I love it. I would not spend the extra money on packaging. That is my advise
• Absolutely no idea - I didn't see either when I ordered. Swiffer was in a company box packed in a heavy cardboard box.
• no
#Swiffer_Bissell_Review
QUESTION: CAN IT BE USED ON HARDWOOD FLOORS? COMMERCIAL DAYS IT CAN- BUT BASED ON. REVERIES, NOT SO SURE
• Yes, I used it on mine, but don't leave it sitting on the floor with the wet pad still on, even for ten minutes. Don't ask me how I know this.... :P
• It says it would work on "sealed hardwood" but I would check with your floor manufacturer since I would think that any moisture on wood isn't a good idea. It's not a lot of steam, just a little bit, but if it gets in between the boards and loosens the glue that wouldn't be good.
• I don't know specifically about hardwood but I use it on our laminate flooring and it's fine. I know it's not the same but I would imagine that a sealed hardwood would stand up much better than my fake stuff that ISN'T sealed. The paperwork says it's fine on sealed hardwood.
• I have very old, unfinished hardwood floors. I tried it on a patch and I don't recommend it--seemed to take in the steam the way it would a water spill. Didn't like how it dried. I think it depends on the condition of your floors, both age and actual finish, porosity, etc. I would find a small, unseen area and test it out. But, like food you aren't sure if it's safe to eat, better NOT unless you're willing to deal with aftermath.

QUESTION: WHERE DO I BUY REFILLS
• I bought mine online from Amazon.com but I recall seeing them in Rite Aid and Walgreens/Duane Reade too.
• most stores like WalMart have them.
• We have been able to locate refills at Walmart.
• My wife and I bought a box of 20 for $5 at Food Lion
• I got them at Harris Teeter grocery store.
• I buy my refills at the local grocery store (Publix). I would imagine that Walmart or Target might have the refills.

QUESTION: HOW TO EMPTY WATER
• Turn it over and let it our out over the sink or a toilet. Easy.
• I don't know if it's the right way or not, but I just tipped it upside down over the sink and the water drained out.
• I just opened the water container on the top and turned it upside down over my sink. Wait until it is all cooled down first. You can really just tip it over to get any remaining water out. But you must be sure to wait until it isn't hot anymore.
• Unscrew the cap at the top of the reservoir and turn upside down to empty.
• I purchased the Steamboost Steamer for my bachelor son. He has tile floors throughout the house and three cats. He likes it and feels it does a good job which is a big plus for the product. When I asked him how he removes the water from the unit, I got a strange look. He does not remove the water after use! He store the unit in the closet, "water and all" for the next use. Hope this helps!
• I agree with Polly et. al. Wait until the water inside the unit has cooled, open the reservoir & upend the steamer over a sink or toilet. I don't think leaving tap water inside the reservoir for an extended period is a good idea. The instruction manual may have some guidance. Worth a look.

QUESTION: IN ADDITION TO WATER CAN I ADD A SMALL AMOUNT OF VINEGAR TO USE WITH THE STEAM MOP?
• I can only tell you this, I do not do this, but I do not think it would hurt, I us vinegar to clean the coffee pot.
• yes
• I've never done that, but I think it would be fine. Vinegar is clean and shouldn't cause any clogging.
• Sorry meant febreeze
• Yes you can, I have added a little febrile to it to help kill an odor I had behind my stove!

QUESTION: DOES IT LEAVE STREAKS AFTER THE FLOOR IS CLEANED? CAN YOU USE A MICROFIBER CLOTH INSTEAD OF THE THROW AWAY PADS?
• Yes, I noticed the streaks after the floor had dried. I've not attempted to use microfiber cloths myself but have read others have.
• It did not leave streaks on my floor. I made sure to change pads when it got really dirty. I suppose you could use a microfiber cloth. I did not. I liked the smell after using the pads.
• I don't ever see any streaks or residue from this product. I have only used the cleaning pads specifically designed for this product so I am not sure if you can use a microfiber cloth. The cleaning pads have a certain retained moisture which may help in effectively cleaning the floors. Hope this helps :) I really do recommend this, I love the way it cleans my floors and cuts down on dust compared to other swiffer products. I have 2 dogs that love to track mud all over the house.
• On my hardwood floors it doesn't leave streaks.
• I have not found any streaking from the Swifter Bissell Steamboost. Have not tried using a microfiber cloth instead of the Swifter pads. I am really happy with this product, it has made cleaning an old kitchen floor much, much easier!

QUESTION: CAN YOU USE A VINEGAR SOLUTION IN THE WATER CHAMBER?
• all I use is distilled water, ONLY
• I don't the answer to that, never tried it but I don't see why not!
• i use distilled water only.......you may want to contact the swiffer company to answer this question....
• I use distilled water, as recommended by the manufacturer. I, personally don't see why you could not add vinegar. Contact Bissell and ask.
#Swiffer_Bissell
QUESTION: AFTER THE FIRST USE I NOTICED A FEW DULL-LOOKING STREAKS THAT ARE STILL THERE AFTER GOING OVER THE FLOOR A SECOND TIME. AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG?
• I noticed that on my floors too. I ended up not using the swiffer pads, and just putting a terrycloth washcloth on the steamer, and using it that way, which is a lot harder to push. I'm tossing it and picking up a new Shark this weekend.
• Acouple of thoughts. If your floor is really dirty, you will have the dull look until it is clean. This happened to me and I thought it was the mop. Turned out it was dirt I had moved around. Secondly, I wonder if it is possible for the scented pads to cause this.
• I had the same problem and also it was hard to move without the pad coming off.
• This stuff doesn't polish your floors. I found that you have to use a lot of cleaner with the product. The regular mop was just as good. Still you have to change the pads and use cleaner.
• Sorry but I didn't have that experience -- I have laminate floors so there's never been any wax on them - wondering if you are talking about a waxed floor? If so I bet the steam etc is possibly lifting the wax? Just a guess on my part.
#Steamboost_Steam_Mop
QUESTION: CAN THIS STEAM MOP BE USED ON FINISHED HARDWOOD FLOORS?
• It says it can. I would be careful at first, you don't want to warp the floor.
• Yes. All surfaces
• Anne, I would say yes. That is probably what is was made to be used on -- my hardwood floors are old and need to be refinished and it didn't work well on them.
• I'm not sure. I have hardwood floors in my living room but I don't use it on them
#Swiffer_Bissell_Review
QUESTION: OK FOR NAILED DOWN OAK FLOORING THAT WILL BUCKLE IF TOO MUCH MOISTURE (SAY A PUDDLE OF WATER) WERE TO BE LEFT AND GET BETWEEN THE CRACKS?
• There are many types of wood floors. I have natural oak parquet - not laminate. I don't know if your floor woould be affected but I do know that the steam left my oak parquet looking cloudy. I had to put some floor polish on it and used my buffer to make it look good again. Personally, I don't think wood and water really mix well no matter what the manufacturers state. I am going to stick to my special wood floor poish to clean my wooden floors. I'm also going to go back to using my Libman mop on my laminate floors and linoleum. The floors look better washed with my mop. I'll probably use the steamer once or twice a year. I hope this helps. Good luck..
• Not completely sure. It does not leave "a puddle of fluid" as you use it and it dries very quickly. I would contact Swiffer to answer your question directly.
• it should not leave any water unless you spill the water that is put into the reservoir, the swiiffer pad does not get drenched with water
#Swiffer_Bissell_Steamboost_Steam_Mop
QUESTION: I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE WET JET SOLUTIONS CAUSING STREAKS ON MY HARDWOOD FLOORS. ONE CUSTOMER SAYS SHE HAS STREAKS ALSO WITH THE STEAMBOOST.??
• I have personally not seen any streaks on my floors.
• I found this, looks helpful. Hope it works for you http://homeguides.sfgate.com/prevent-streaking-steam-mops-27481.html
• Mine streaks too I have already stopped using it
#Swiffer_Bissell
QUESTION: HOW MUCH STEAM IS SUPPOSED TO COME OUT? AND HOW MUCH WATER WILL BE USED? I BARELY SAW ANY STEAM COMING OUT & MAYBE 1 OZ OF H2O WAS USED IN MY SM KTCH
• There isn't a whole lot of steam but in my opinion, enough comes out to gently get the job done. I just want the floor sanitized, I don't want the top layer burned off. I have 7 cats and a dog, when they drink water from their dish it leaves water stains all over. The amount of steam that comes through the Swiffer is enough to take up the water marks and leave the floor feeling nice and clean under my bare feet.
• Not much visible steam comes out, but the cleaning surface will be very hot to touch and you should see a little steam if you lift it to look at the cleaning surface. If you keep the trigger continually pressed in you'll go through the H20 faster. I usually use up all the water, but I'm cleaning approx. 1500 sq. feet of flooring. 1 oz for a small kitchen sounds normal.
• You do see steam most of the time and you can hear it. I can do 4 rooms with one fill plus a hallway.
• theres hardly steam coming out
#Steamboost_Steam_Mop
QUESTION: DOES IT TRAP HAIR AND FINE DUST?
• This product isn't a vacuum. I give my floors a thorough sweeping before I use the steam mop.
• Yes it sure does. My daughter is a hairstylist and when she cuts hair you get those very small hairs, it picks it up thoroughly.
• I think it does, I have 2 labs and the floor looks good after I mop. I have no complaints about the product.
#Swiffer_Bissell_Review
QUESTION: CAN THIS MOP BE USED ON LAMINATE FLOORING?
• Check with floor manufacturer, but all the ones I checked online so far say NO! I can say, I used a different steamer on part of my laminate floor (Bruce flooring) and it dulled the finish.
• I asked Bissell Consumer Care whether the Steamboost Steam Mop was safe for laminate floors because I had read in the product's instructions online that it was safe for laminate floors, but elsewhere I read that the product was safe for sealed floors. Because laminate is not sealed, I told Bissell Consumer Care that I was confused. Here is their response, which didn't really help in answering my question: "The Steamboost is designed to clean hard floors such as ceramic tile, vinyl, laminate, marble, stone, and sealed hardwood floors. You will not want to use the unit on unsealed hardwood floors. You may also want to check with your flooring manufacturer on their cleaning recommendations." So...is it safe for laminate? Your guess is as good as mine! I guess I won't be ordering since laminate is not a sealed floor.

QUESTION: CAN YOU TAKE THE HANDLE APART FOR STORAGE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE HEIGHT TO HANG THE MOP IN A CLOSET?
• You can.
• I don't see why not since you have to put it together when you take it out of the box.
• I don't think so ask the Bissell site. It hangs on the wall easy
• Yes, the handle comes apart about half-way down. Just press the button and separate.
#Swiffer_Bissell
QUESTION: ANYONE HAVE HARD WATER? HOW DOES THIS HOLD UP? THE SHARK DIDN'T LAST LONG WITH OUR HARD WATER. ALSO, HOW DID YOU CLEAN IT IF YOU HAD HARD WATER? WE USE VINEGAR TO HELP OUR HUMIDIFIERS.
• I haven't had the Steamboost long enough to know how it will hold up, but before I got this product, I used a small amount of vinegar in my solution to clean my laminate floors, and it didn't hurt them. Our A/C people (we live in Florida) advised us to use add a vinegar solution once a month to our system to help prevent build up in the drainage lines, so I don't think it would hurt. I haven't been using vinegar because it's just a small tank, so my thinking is that if you empty the little tank after every use, it should be all right. It hasn't been necessary to clean the tank because it depletes the water supply if you do a few floors and "steam cleans itself"! Probably not much help, but I hope both our Steamboosts hold up fine!
• use distilled water.
#Steamboost_Steam_Mop
QUESTION: IS THE MOP IN THE BOX
• It does not release steam enough to clean my hard floor
• The mop head is built in. A couple of cleansing cloths are included in the box. You need a new cloth everytime you mop, so you will have to buy a box of cloths.
• it's not a mop actually. It looks like the picture and you attach the pads similiar to the standard swifter
#Swiffer_Bissell_Review
QUESTION: IS THIS SAFE FOR LAMINATE WOOD FLOORS
• I don't think so...it says "Do not use on unfinished, oiled, or waxed wooden floor boards...as they may be water sensitive." (from the label). I'm not sure I'd risk it, although my mom uses a Swiffer mop on hers. The issue here (IMHO) is the heat...not sure how it would do on the seams as it would penetrate deeper than just surface moisture. Good luck!
• My experience with this mop on laminate floors has been fine. It works great.
• Yes. When it says "do not use on unfinished, oiled, or waxed floors," they are talking about raw wood that has had actual wood wax rubbed on it, or very oily woods like teak. Laminate floors are not waxed, oiled, or unfinished -- they are finished with a hard laminate surface. While you cannot saturate laminate flooring with water (it makes the seams bubble up), you can run steam over them with no problem.

QUESTION: LAMINATE FLOORS ARE UNSEALED, I THINK, UNLIKE WOOD THAT CAN BE SEALED. SO NO ONE HAS HAD A PROBLEM WITH WOOD LAMINATE?
• no I have not had an issue at all
• I think laminate is laminate, no matter if the design looks like wood, stone, brick, etc. "Laminate flooring" is actually the new name for "linoleum". You should have no problem.

QUESTION: HOW WELL DOES IT WORK ON FLOORS WITH SOME TEXTURE? WE HAVE TILE WITH SUBSTANTIAL TEXTURE AND THE MOP TENDS TO MISS THE DIRT IN THE RIDGES. THANKS!
• I have bathroom tile from Israel. It is heavily marbled with crevices that are cleaned well with the Swiffer Bissell. And my kitchen is a textured porcelain tile that comes clean as well.
• David- If the Swiffer doesn't work for you then this wouldn't but asking my husband he said that you could it right over the ridges and it would steam them out but he said for a professional answer you might ask Swiffer directly as we do have only a regular floor no tiles and it works wonderfully.
• I retuned this product. I used it on a hard wood floor and it left water streaks.
• I'm sorry, I can't answer that. I have no tile. But, judging from the way it works on linoleum, I wouldn't trust it.
• It doesn't really get into the grout.
#Steamboost_Steam_Mop
QUESTION: CAN YOU USE THIS ON PRE-FINISHED WOOD FLOORS
• Yes it works very well
• Yes, but I do not use the cleaning pads made for the Steamboost. I purchased some Micro-fiber cleaning pads (from Amazon) and use with a spray cleaner for wood floors. If an area becomes too wet from the steam. I use another micro-fiber cloth to dry it.

QUESTION: DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW THIS PRODUCT COMPARES TO THE BISSELL STEAM MOP SELECT, TITANIUM? HOW LARGE IS THE WATER TANK AND HOW LONG IS THE CHORD?
• I had to refill the tank once when mopping my family room/kitchen. But, the mop is ready very quickly after refill. The cord is VERY long. I like this better than the more expensive steam mop I purchased last year, because of the disposable pads. I feel bad about throwing them away, but, with the non-disposables, once they get dirty, you have to wash them, and sometimes they get too dirty in the middle of a job. Then, I'm stuck either pushing mud around the floor or waiting.
• I am not familiar with the Bissell Titanium but I can tell you that the cord is long. I did my entire downstairs hardwood floors with one tank of water and without having to unplug/re-plug it in. I an very satisfied with this product.

QUESTION: ARE THE PADS THROW AWAY PADS
• Yes, they are.
• yes, they are disposable
• Yes. It comes with two. A refill box runs about $8.99 (at Target). I really like my Steam mop...you can really see the clean after.
• Yes, they are. You can't reuse them, unfortunately.
• Yes they are. I like the washable myself.

QUESTION: IS THIS PRODUCT AN "ALL IN ONE", I.E., DUSTS/MOPS AND WET CLEANS THE FLOOR OR DO YOU HAVE TO DRY MOP THE FLOOR FIRST?
• I prefer to use with Swiffer duster first and then use the steam boost
• you need to vac first
• I haven't used it because once I took it out of the box and read the accompanying information I discovered it cannot be used on unsealed floors. Misleading advertising.
• You should sweep or dry mop the floor first to remove any dirt/debris before you use the Swiffer/Bissel because it simply ejects steam to clean the floors and doesn't suction, but the results are worth it!
• I don't see gaving to go over the floor firdt w a dry cloth but it could help the steam clean to not gather up so much gunk
• It steams the floor and the pad wipes it up at the same time....so "all in one".
#Steamboost_Steam_Mop
QUESTION: DOES THIS WORK FOR LAMINATED WOOD FLOOR?
• Yes very well....
• Yes, beautifully!!!
• I would say for sure!
• Yes it does. I have used it on my laminated floors.
• Well, it does get the dirt off but, it leaves a dull residue. No shine. I have to re mop. That is all I have is laminated wood flooring.
#Swiffer_Bissell_Review
QUESTION: MY BATHROOM FLOOR IS VERY SMALL. CAN I USE THE SAME PAD 2 OR 3 TIMES?
• I am not sure. The pad will be soiled and it is soaked with a cleaning solution, so it would dry out. Perhaps you could seal it in a baggie if it wasn't too soiled and use it again.
• I don't think I would recommend this, it picks up a lot of dirt and it would dry out between uses.
• If the floor isn't too dirty, the pad can be reused - I also wash it out one time and use it again. I also use an old washcloth in place of the pad - that works well and sure saves funds.
• If you rinse it out well after you use it you should be able to use it again.
• I haven't tried that so I'm not sure. The pad has cleaning solution on it so you would need to keep it from drying out. I would suggest that you call the 1-800 number on the package to confirm this.
#Swiffer_Bissell_Steamboost_Steam_Mop
QUESTION: CAN THIS BE USED WITH MICROFIBER RAGS INSTEAD OF THE CLOTHS?
• I use the microfiber cloths and they work well for me, you just have to make sure it is a thin cloth for the steam to escape. I also use swiffer mop refills.
• No use the Swiffer Bissell pads designed for this mop
#Swiffer_Bissell
QUESTION: HELP ME OUT. TO WASH A DIRTY FLOOR WOULD YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE PAD LIKE EVERY 5 SWIPES?
• I only use one pad per floor - my floors are not extremely dirty - I usually clean them once a week.
• It depends on how big the room is. I use one pad for my bathroom, which is a decent size. I use another for my son's bath and my kitchen, which are small rooms. I think for a larger dining/living room combination, you'd probably need to use a couple of pads.
• This obviously depends on just how dirty the floor is. However, this steam mop is wonderful. The first time I used it, I did use 2 pads and that was for a large kitchen/dining room area and two bathrooms. The pads are pretty durable and can take a lot of dirt.
• I guess it depends on how dirty your floor is, I clean the kitchen and both bathrooms
#Steamboost_Steam_Mop
QUESTION: CAN IT BE USED ON WOOD FLOORS
• Definitely
• Did not use it on my wood floors. Bought it just for the tile floors. Works decent on tile. Try Bona on the wood floors. That works great!
• From what I've read, yes you can as long as they are sealed wood floors.
#Swiffer_Bissell_Review
QUESTION: WOOD FLOORING
• yes
• Yes, as long as it is sealed, which most wood is. I even use it on my pergo flooring, though I am using a rag with some diluted Murphy's oil soap instead of the Swiffer cleaning pads. The scent was too strong for me. The floors are so shiny!
• Yes, if it is sealed, but remember to never leave any steam cleaner that is turned on (and steaming) sitting on it for too long in one place.
• Leaves a gross film making any surface look dull.
• I cannot help you there as I only have tile. I do now that it is to work on finished floors not unfinished. I really like this little steammop. It cleanes real well on my tile.
• yes, I love it, I did not respond because I did not use it. really steams the floor and cleans it, absolutely worth it.
#Swiffer_Bissell_Steamboost_Steam_Mop
QUESTION: WHY CAN'T IT BE USED ON WAXED FLOORS?
• I believe the steam will break down the wax.
• I don't know....I have laminate and vinyl floors....no wax in my house.
• Hmmm I do not know...sorry....maybe the steam gets too hot and melts the wax....just a guess
#Swiffer_Bissell
QUESTION: FRAGRANCE FREE
• If this is a question, the mop is simply steam, so yes. It depends on the cleaning pad you attach, which is for the most part fragrance free. You could feasibly use a wet cloth though, though I did not try this.
• The cleaner in the pads have a fragrance, but it is mild.
• The fragrance is driven by the type of pads you use and I believe there is a fragrance free version. Check out Target or Walmart for varieties available.
• I don't know if they have a fragrance free version yet, however the clean linen seems to be ok...esp since my husband has allergies and this does not seem to bother his at all
• I doubt there is a fragrance free option, but the fragrances they have are really lovely! I am partial to the lavender vanilla.

QUESTION: WILL IT WORK ON TILE FLOORS?
• Yes it does!
• I have tile, and it didn't harm my floor.
• I would think so!
• yes
• It's best on tile floors.
• Yes it will. I love it
• Also have tried it out on tile and works very well with no damage.

QUESTION: DOES IT WORK GOOD ON HIGH GLOSS LAMINATE FLOORING WITHOUT LEAVING STREAKS?
• It works very well and leaves no streaks. I recommend sweeping or mopping the floor before to be sure to sweep up loose dirt. Although, I have found better results with my Shark Steamer which just uses plain water for the steam. I would recommend using a moistened bar cloth to avoid using the swiffer sheet which has the cleaning solution on it. I have also used the steamer with plain water on my hardwood floor - if used lightly on the floor, it will not warp the floor, it just removes the dust that regular mopping doesn't always wipe up.
• I have to go back over it with a (dry Swiffer sheet and the steam) on the steam booster, but it does get your laminate floors clean!

QUESTION: CAN YOU USE ON LAMINATE FLOORS
• I have laminate floors, and have not had any problems.
• Yes, that is what I have. Only negative is the price of refills
• Don't see why you can't but I have not tested it on laminate floors.
#Swiffer_Bissell
QUESTION: CAN IT BE USED SAFELY ON LAMINATE WOOD FLOORING
• Yes, that's what I use my for. It does a fabulous job for such an inexpensive tool. I use a wet washcloth instead of the steampad refills. Cleans much deeper and won't cost you for replacement cloths.
• I have used it on our wood floors and they look awesome.
• I am sorry I don't have that type only tile which it cleans so nice
• I use it on mine safely
• I have used it on mine, but I used a washcloth instead of the pads
• I used it safely on my hardwood, tile, and linoleum floors. I imagine laminate would also be safe.
• product page for Allure flooring (similar to laminate) says a steam cleaner is not to be used!

QUESTION: I'M VERY SENSITIVE TO SMELLS. HOW STRONGLY SCENTED ARE THE PADS, AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE SMELL TO DISAPPEAR?
• These have a VERY light scent which dissipates quickly, but u can substitute a dampened hand towel or other cloth instead. Terry cloth style towels are especially good with the Swiffer. Take care, DJ
• They didn't seem overly strong, somewhat like a lightly scented candle. To be honest I'm not sure how long the smell took to disappear but I don't recall it being that long. Sorry I can't be more precise.
• I personally find the scent overpowering and ended up going over the entire floor with a wet , un scented rag to cut the smell. Too strong for me!

QUESTION: DOES IT WORK ON HARDWOOD/BAMBOO FLOORS WELL?
• Dear L.Worthington: my floors are Pergo, and it works wonderfully. I'd think it would do fine on hardwood, as it is not especially damp. You can feel the heat from the steam but I have no residual wetness on the floor after using it. Hope this helps! I really like the product and wish I had purchased it sooner.
• I don't know. My floors are vinyl and works ok. I use the wet mop fillers (cheaper) that work fine.
• I only have laminate floors and tile. I did read on their website that it is okay for hardwood. Here is the link: http://www.swiffer.com/products/swiffer-steamboost-steam-mop Hope it helps :)

QUESTION: IS THIS GOOD FOR WOOD?
• Yes, it is good on wood, laminate, linoleum, tile....
• Yes, it can be used on hardwood or laminate flooring!
• We use on tile
• Yes, I have wood floors!
• As long as the wood has been sealed - polyurethane or the like. I wouldn't ues it on untreated wood. But it did a nice job on my wood floors.
• I find it very good
• When I first purchased this product I checked on the manufacturer's website and they say it's okay for laminate wood flooring but not unfinished wood floors. It doesn't pool with water when using it but I could see why over time it could warp real wood floors perhaps unless they are well sealed?

QUESTION: DO YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WITH THE STEAM ON LAMINATE FLOORS?
• Any spills you want to clean up quickly, but the steam mop uses very little water, it is steam and does not puddle. So far I have not had any issues with the mop.
• I have laminate floors, myself, and there is no problem with steam warping or otherwise harming the floors. It's not that easy to get too much steam, and the cleaning pad picks up any extra moisture. Hope this helps.
• No, the steam isn't bad - I just use the machine and then don't walk on the floors for a few minutes. It does fine.
• No, not in my experience. It dries almost instantly.

QUESTION: IS THIS PRODUCT GOOD ON LAMINATE FLOORING?
• I use mine on my kitchen tile floor and it is awesome It removes dirt that I didn't even realize was there. So I would think it should do a good job on your floor .I checked my instruction book and it does say it can be used on laminate
• I use the Steamboost on all my laminate floors and it works well, however, I do sometimes use a dry cloth right after using it to dry the floor because the water tends to spot when dried. It could be because I don't use the pre-moistened pad that they recommend but rather a cleaning cloth fitted over the cleaning surface of the S'boost.

• I did not have this problem , I'm very happy with my Swiffer Bissell, work very well
• I cut the upc code from the box, so there is a hole in the box. The item itself is brand new. I am not sure where your question comes from...

QUESTION: DOES THIS WORK ON PAINTED CONCRETE FLOORS?
• It might lift the paint. I only used how it was recommended on the instructions
• Sorry I can't help with your question; I returned mine after one day to the store for a refund.
• Not certain, but I think it should work okay. The pads (like other swiffer pads) have a light cleaning solution in them and the steam from the mop isn't so hot or heavy that it would remove the paint. If you regularly mop the floor, the steamboost should do a nice job on it.
• The only limitations I can find is on polished wood floors. I think I would test a small spot to be sure.

QUESTION: CAN I USE THE SWIFFER WET JET REFILL PADS WITH THE STEAM BOOST?
• I use the cheapest towels from IKEA. Dont recommend to waste money for refill pads
• Don't see why you couldn't.
• you can try, they are not the same size and i don't think the steam would make it through the pads. Also the steam boost pads are pre-soaked with cleaner.
• I am not sure. But to save money, I purchased bar towels (they are smaller and affordable) and I dampen them and then put floor cleaner on them. This has proven to be an economical way to use the steamer. The towels can be laundered and reused. Really saves money!

QUESTION: NOT MUCH STEAM, AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG?
• I get puffs of steam but it isn't billowing from the mop,lol I don't think there is supposed to be more that that. Hope that helps!
• wait until steam is up (about 10 minutes) and then hold down button - I found I had steam enough to do the entire kitchen floor.
• Let it heat up first. It needs a good 10 - 15 minutes before you get serious steam.
• I had the same problem. I could not get a lot of steam out of it. Perhaps it is because I am use to a bigger machine and the smaller ones don't produce as much, not sure. That's all I know. Good luck.
