QUESTION: MY SWIFTER WONT SQUIRT ANYMORE WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM
• Your sprayers are blocked. You could try to open the holes with a needle, but usually that doesn't work, since the blockage is usually way up in the tube that feeds a sprayer. Seems the cleaner that they make with this tool dries out in that tube and leaves a residue that blocks the tube. Since there's no way to easily open the tool and get to the tubes and clean them, you're out of luck and have to buy a new Swiffer. I think they planned it that way, imho.
• Probably is a defective machine. I bought 2 of them and both do not work after only a few months. I tried to replace the batteries but alas it didn't help. No one will answer the phones at swifter to give me a refund. I wish the consumer report people would make them take this product off the market. They MUST know how poorly they work.
• This is a problem I have also, except only one is blocked, tried the needle and that has not worked either. Like one viewer wrote, I think we're out of luck. With the swiffer I purchased 6 bottles of cleaner. Maybe someone from swiffer will reply.
• First I would check if the batteries needed to be replaced....I would also clean the contact point in the area where the batteries are housed....
• Assuming the batteries aren't dead, check the direction in which your batteries are placed in the Swiffer. Also make sure the bottle of Swiffer fluid clicks or snaps firmly into place when you set it inside, or else it won't squirt.
• The batteries may be worn out and should be replaced. Next, if this doesn't work, take a pin and stick it in the squirt jet to clear up any blockage. Next check the fluid level in the bottle. It may be empty.
• How old are your batteries? Happened to me dead batteries....
• The swifter is the problem. Yes, it happened to me too. Id rate it 0.5 stars. It worked the first moment we used it. Hurray! But it quit in the middle of the kitchen. It quit! Brand spankin new. Didn't even finish the first floor. New batteries changed. New bottle of stuff. no help. Big $30 bummer.
• The springs are not making good contact with the batteries. They may LOOK like they're making good contact, but spring set has occurred. Remove the batteries. Using a pair of needle nose pliers (or your fingernails) gently stretch each spring out a little bit. Reinsert batteries. May take a couple of tries to get springs stretched enough. That fixed the problem for me!
• You probably need new batteries.

QUESTION: CAN YOU BUY THE RUBBER PART THAT GRIPS THE PADS SEPARATELY? MY DAUGHTER FORGOT TO PUT THE PAD ON BEFORE USING IT TO CLEAN.
• try buying a used one to use for parts, or trade in, maybe manufacturer if its not under warranty, otherwise, Its a great machine.
• I really don't know, but I'd look up the Swiffer company online and ask them. I'll bet you'll find replacement parts there. Good luck!
• I'm sorry, but I honestly don't know. I would suggest checking with the swiffer site.

QUESTION: IS THE CLEANING SOLUTION BOTTLE REFILLABLE? I HAVE LAMINATE FLOORS AND WANT TO JUST USE WATER. WILL THAT WORK?
• I found a few videos on Youtube where they found a way into the bottle. Can't put a link in Amazon comments so go to Youtube and type into their search engine "open swiffer bottle" and click the first one that comes up. (the first one that came up for me was from from a guy called Jerry and has big green letters over the video saying "How to Open Swiffer Bottle".) His video was the simplest one as I see it. I never tried it since I returned my Swiffer the next day but definitely would have if I kept it. All the best.
• Take a pair of adjustable pliers and force the bottle lid to unscrew. There are fins inside the cap you can then clip to allow it to be filled as you like and bottle reused.
• Yes, soak part of the neck and the cap in hot/boiling water for 10 minutes. Open as usually. Snip/slice off the remaining plastic stubs to make opening and closing easier. If you have hard water use a vinegar solution as a cleaning liquid or occasionally pour 1/4 cup vinegar into bottle and jet a few times, let sit, and repeat. Vinegar will keep the nozzles from getting clogged up.
• I have finally killed my slightly ancient Swiffer (probably 4yrs old or more), but haven't bought the refills for most of those years! Yes, you can cut the bottle open and refill as you please. There are also reusable microfiber pads available commercially. I bought mine at either Lowe's or Home Depot, can't remember. They have worked great and are totally washable.
• No. This is not a good product.
• It is designed to be thrown away after use, but after reading more customer reviews, someone left a comment about refilling the bottle.
• I'm almost certain that you can't refill them.
#Spray_Mop_Floor
QUESTION: CAN I USE THIS ON VINYL FLOORS?
• You can use it on vinyl floors. I have one but it doesn't do a good job cleaning them.
• Not really. My experience with the Swiffer WetJet is that the pad gets dirty right away and since you can't rinse it like a mop, you end up smearing the dirt all over the floor. It usually looks dirtier than before I started.
• You can use the swiffer on vinyl floors. We have used one for years and the flooring looks as good as the day it was installed!

QUESTION: DOES THIS PRODUCT COME WITH EVERYTHING I NEED TO MOP MY FLOOR OR MUST I PURCHASE SOLUTION, PADS AND BATTERIES SEPARATELY?
• Yes it comes with everything you need
• It comes w everything to get u started including trial sized solution, I believe a few pads and batteries. Of course, you will continue to restock pads and solution (I get mine thru amazon)
• Batteries are not included but I use low drain rechargeable batteries I buy off Ebay. They hold a charge longer than regular rechargeable batteries. I buy Shammy Wow 13" x 10" cloths off Ebay and cut them to 13" x 5" and the work just fine. That makes 18 washable bleachable cloths for less than $10.00. Buy some stick on Velcro and add the rough part along top short sides of Wet Jet and extra Shammy Wow can be turned up and used to clean up to wall edges. Otherwise just clip short ends of Shammy Wow to fit Wet Jet base. The shammy Wow sticks to the Velcro on Wet Jet just fine without any modification.
• If you buy the starter kit, it will come with everything you need for the time being. You will then have to replace the solution, pads, etc which is an expensive proposition over time.
• It comes with 2 pads and a small solution. You will need to purchase extra pads, solution and 2 AA batteries. I think it works great on the floors.
• The starter kit comes with a smaller bottle of solution and 2 pads. Trying to remember if we put in batteries or it came with. I think it was ready to go after I put it together.

QUESTION: HOW TO GET OLD BOTTLE OUT OF SWIFTERREMOVE BOTTLE FROM SWIFTER
• Karen all I do is press the light Purple colored handle right behind where the bottle goes & it pops out. If that doesn't work try pushing and pulling at the same time. Hope this helps.
• Don't know because I returned this lousy thing.
• I did not keep this Swifter item as I ordered it and several other Swifter related items for my granddaughter and all I know is that it is being used. Sorry.

QUESTION: I CANNOT GET MY SWIFFER SWEEPER TO WORK I HAVE BATTERIES IN IT I HAVE IT PUT TOGETHER BUT WHEN I PUSH THE BUTTON I HAVE NO RESULTS
• I will ask a dumb question - please do not be insulted, are the batteries installed correctly? If they are and it still does not work you should return it. Once the batteries are installed, all you have to do is hit the button for it work. Hope this helps.
• Sometimes I have a tendency to the batteries in wrong. I would check there first and if that doesn't work it may just be defective and you will have to send it back. I hope this helps
• Make sure batteries are fresh and installed properly. Ensure top of battery compartment is closed.
• I did the same thing. However I found out the batteries were inserted incorrectly. My daughter came over and said no wonder it won't turn on, you have the batteries in wrong. She change the batteries and been working every since. Turn on immediately.
• Mine was a little difficult at first, but I kept trying different angles on the button - push at the top, push at the bottom, etc. and it finally came around. Now it works easily.
• try putting another set of batteries in it or keep try different angels on the button.
• Double check that the batteries are in correctly. There should be a positive and negative symbol that shows how the batteries should be inserted. Try the button again and if it still isn't working, contact customer service for a replacement. Best of Luck!
#Spray_Mop_Floor
QUESTION: HOW DO I PUT THE PAD ON?
• The soft part touches the floor. The side with the strips just sticks to the mop. You don't have to pull the shiny strips off. Confused me at first, too.
• The side with strips cling or stick to mop...do not remove strips it's a wonderful mop very easy to use!
• The Swiffer WetJet has velcro on the bottom of it and the pad just sticks to the velcro. It works really well and it makes it easy to take off and throw away when it's all dirty.
#Swiffer_WetJet_Review
QUESTION: WHY DOES IT NOT SPIT OUT THE CLEANING FLUID?
• Mine dispenses the cleaning fluid; maybe yours is defective.
• most of the time I found that the batteries a low. It has to have 4 brand batteries to fully spray from both side. When the batteries are getting low u will notice one side may quit or shoot out a low stream
• Because it's just a piece of JUNK! I got clipped on this too, so don't feel bad. It's probably the MOST OVER-RATED cleaning product on the market and it's also VERY COSTLY to be buying the pads and solvent. If you ever do get it to work, you'll see how badly it streaks the floor as well.
• 1. Check batteries. 2. Unclog two tiny noozle holes in front of pad by sticking a straightened paper. Bought one when Swiffer first came out. Bought another one last year when it would not dispense fluid but after unclogging noozle, it sprayed...
• Are you sure fluid bottle fit into slot correctly? I have had no problems at all with mine. I would remove bottle and try again. If it still doesn't work, I would suggest you contact Amazon or manufacturer. None of my friends who have Swiffer WetJet have had problems with cleaning fluid not spitting out. Hope once you remove and insert again, it will start working.
• I'm having a similar problem: the cleaner doesn't "spray," it only comes out in dribbles. I'm going to try new/fully charged batteries next.
#Swiffer_WetJet_Spray_Mop_Floor
QUESTION: WHY IS THE SIZE LABELED "TWIN?" IS THIS JUST ONE STARTER KIT? THAT IS ALL I WANT.
• It was just one mop, one liquid bottle, and two disposable pads. So I guess that "twin" refers to number of disposable pads that came in the kit.
• Because you can use 2 types of pads with it the original pad or extra power pad for the big jobs or just to feel that extra clean. It works great!
• Don't know why it's labeled twin. It is a single starter kit.

QUESTION: LEFT MY FLOOR STICKY! ANY RECOMMENDATIONS ON HOW TO REMOVE THE STICKY MESS ON MY FLOOR?. ANY SPECIFIC PRODUCT YOU HAVE USED FOR THIS PROBLEM? THANK
• My results with the Swiffer WetJet Spray have been excellent. In fact, I recently spilled Italian dressing on floor and the Swiffer Spray cleaned it up beautifully.
• Weird, try a different solution?
• i love using the swiffer wetjet spray and it is easier for me since i am severely disabled and very, very painful, the swiffer wetjet spray from amazon.com is easier for me to use in my home than using anything else. i am still having a problem with one of my new swiffer wet jet from amazon.com., 'cause the battery will not turn on the new swiffer wet jet and even one of my older batteries that turn on one of my older swiffer wet jets will not start the new swiffer wet jet and i can't understand why. sylvia e.abramsspabrams@comcast.net 7218 newton avenue, north brooklyn center, mn. 55430
• yes, I love using my new Swiffer wetjet spray from http://amazon.com. NO I HAVE NOT USED ANY SPECIFIC PRODUCT FOR THIS PROBLEM. SYLVIA E. ABRAMSspabrams@comcast.net A7218 NEWTON AVENUE, NORTH BROOKLYN CENTER, MN. 55430
• Hi. I have not experienced anything as sticky. Sorry I cannot be helpful. Take care.

QUESTION: WHAT ALL COMES IN THIS STARTER KIT?
• The Wetjet, 1 sample bottle of solution and 2 pads.
• 1 cleaning pad, 1 small bottle of cleaning fluid, 1 scuff pad. You will have to supply the two batteries.
• The mop, a few floor pads and a small bottle of the cleaner.....enough to get you started
• The swiffer mop, a couple cleaning pads, and a small container of fluid.
• My kit included the Swiffer, a container of liquid and a couple of the throwaway pads.

QUESTION: ANYONE USE THIS ON THEIR HARDWOOD FLOORS? I HAVE NO CARPET IN MY HOUSE, WHICH I AM THANKFUL FOR, BUT SEARCH ENDLESSLY FOR AN EASY MOPPING DEVICE FOR HARDWOODS!
• I have all hardwood floors and I use this as an easy way to keep them clean. I still use traditional hardwood cleaners for deep clean, but for everyday use I use the wetjet with the cleaning solution designed for hardwoods. It keeps them clean and bright and is very easy to use-plus no mess of using buckets.
• This MAY work on hardwood, but I have a slick finish tile in my bedroom and I thought this may work better than my mop and dry mop method. NO WAY! It left streaks and took longer to do than with my mop. I still had to dry mop after use and taking in account what the cost of the liquid cleaner and pads cost, I found this to be a REAL RIP OFF! Highly OVER RATED piece of JUNK. Where the bottle liquid attaches in no time leaks and as I said the pads and cleaner make this an expensive waste of time and trouble. Good luck if you buy this and I'm SURE you'll be sorry you did.
#Swiffer_WetJet_Spray_Mop_Floor
QUESTION: WHEN BUYING A SWIFTER PRODUCT, DO YOU BUY THE ACESSORIES? I HAVE BOUGHT TWO REFILLIBLE BOTTLES ONE FOR HARD WOOD FLOORS AND ANOTHER FOR NOT.
• I use swifter brand refill and pads for in the house. But, when doing garage floor I use generic or store brand ....The local CVS carries them.
• No, I put top of bottle in boiling water, the cap comes off. ..then I fill it with whatever I want. It was recommended to use white vinegar and water on the hardwood floors.
#Swiffer_WetJet
QUESTION: CAN I USE THIS ON LAMINATE FLOORS?
• I've got shellacked wood floor. Laminated floor any different?
• You can use it on laminate, BUT on some brands it leaves a scum that keeps building up. What I have found to be the best cleaner is home-made. 1 cup of water, 1 cup of vinegar, 1 cup of rubbing alcohol, 1 tablespoon do dish detergent and a few drops of pine essential oil. I did not use pine oil as it is only for scent. Also I didn't shake it up to foam the soap. So far I have done it on hands and knees because the Swiffer pad left streaks. I will buy the Clorex mop with micro fiber pad.thus works perfectly, beautifully, terrific and cheap
• I didn't like it at all and called the manufacturer of my laminate and she said use a microfiber cloth. O'Cedar and Libman make a much better product that does use batteries and the pad is machine washable. You can use plain water or a mixture of 1 cup each of water, vinegar and alcohol. This comes highly recommended and it works terrific and is cheap. Do not buy Swiffer!
#Spray_Mop_Floor
QUESTION: IS IT ONLY THE MOP OR DOES IT COME WITH THE PAD AND THE LIQUID
• The kit includes 2 pads and liquid. I am beginning to like it more.
• Comes with all you need to use product
• Pad and a sample bottle of the liquid.
• It comes with a small bottle of solution and 2 pads. My floor was actually filthy! But I have at least a half bottle of cleaning fluid left. It is still the easiest way for me to keep my kitchen floor clean.
• Its only the mop
#Swiffer_WetJet_Review
QUESTION: ARE THE PADS DISPOSABLE? AND IF SO, CAN I USE THE WET/DRY DISPOSABLE PADS I USED WITH THE STANDARD SWIFFER?
• Yes the pads are disposable. You can only get 1 or a few uses out of each pad. These probably won't work with the swiffer sweeper. They have a different material than those.
• Yes they are disposable and you can use the same pads. I just bought the Dollar General ones and I got more, dirt cheap and just as effective. My bad, sorry Swifter.
• First of all, l think you should stay with the standard swiffer, they give you more better cleaning. The wet jet is a wrong design product, a piece of junk! Very bad engineering design, the two jets do not work together, one up and one down, shooting out fluid every where, and clogged after one use. I am an engineer in design for more than 35 years, this product should not be in the market at all.
• yes they are disposable I don't know about the second part of your question but I don't see why not.
#Swiffer_WetJet_Spray_Mop_Floor
QUESTION: HOW MANY PADS WILL I NEED TO USE PER CLEANING? I GO THROUGH ABOUT 7 SWEEPER WET CLOTHS AT THE MOMENT.
• It depends on how much dirt is on the floor. I also go through a lot sometimes if there has been increased traffic in an area. Hope this helps
• I'm not sure exactly; but I reuse the same pad twice.
• It depends on the type of floor. I have different types and will use more on some. My calculation is 1 pad per 3 or 4 were ones
• 3

QUESTION: CAN I USE THIS ON VINYL FLOORING?
• yes. I do. and it dry's / evaporates very quickly , it a great cleaner and the 1 starter bottle has done my bathrooms and kitchen floors 4 times already and it still 95% full . . 1 thing though mine I bought new but came used , the battery tray is a slight pain if the motor doesn't work right away just make sure the batteries are pressed in all the way any movement and it does not work , again that may be mine just because it was used also .. It does work very well , my wife and I have a cat and the litter box is on the vinyl floor and it cleans everything and sanitizes which I was very impressed plus the mr clean eraser that is Velcroed on or you attach to the front right above the mop pads cleans the toughest messes . (that I used on tile )
• I do. Paul B.
• I pretty sure that you can but not 100 percent sure
• Yes.

QUESTION: HOW MUCH DOES THIS WEIGH WITH AND WITHOUT THE SOLUTION, ALSO, DOES THIS HAVE BATTERIES LIKE THE HARDWOOD STYLE?
• this does have batteries. Don't really know how much it weighs.
• It does have batteries. As far as weight (I'm not too good at guessing weight) maybe 4-5 lbs. with solution and 2-3 lbs without.
• All together Lil bit more than 4p , just the solution is 1.25L

QUESTION: ISTHE BOTTLE OF CLEANER PLACED ON THE HANDLE? I WANT TO USE VINEGAR WATER. IS IT POSSIBLE TO BUY A CLEAR BOTTLE, OR WOULD I HAVE TO EMPTY ONE FIRST
• Yes, however I don't recommend this product. I purchased it for my step mom whom through out her back and she can't even use it. Nothing like the commercials.
• Yes It's placed on the handle but on the very bottom by the mop. And. You probably have to empty the bottle first. I never seen just an empty on for sale.
• I would think you would have to empty 1 first. Bottle not on handle
• I have a Swifer Wet mop when my cleaner ran out I unscrewed the top of the container and put my pine sol cleaner in the container and it worked fine.
• You can try opening the bottle but I am not sure if you can secure the cap tight enough to use. The bottle is housed in carriage near the handle.
#Swiffer_WetJet_Spray_Mop_Floor
QUESTION: WILL THIS CLEANING SYSTEM WORK ON PORCELAIN TILE FLOOR WITH IRREGULAR SURFACE?
• I've used it on vinyl, wood, slate (irregularities), and ceramic. I'm guessing it would work on porcelain as well.
• I have tile floors with irregular surfaces and does pretty good job, but doesn't do grout well. Good for quick cleanups.
#Swiffer_WetJet
QUESTION: CAN YOU USE DRY MOP PADS WITH SWIFFER WET JET MOP?
• For the best results, use the correct pad as recommended. I get mine thru Amazon. They have the best prices and they deliver. I have MS. So this makes it easy for me. Use the recommended pads. Happy cleaning.
• For what purpose? Assuming that your purpose is to save money by not having to replace them every ten seconds, I don't know why not - the pads that come with them are dry. You would just have to figure out a way to attach them without covering the hole where the fluid comes out. I'm pretty unimpressed with my swiffer - I just ordered a new mop from another company.
• They fit differently and work differently -- I wouldn't recommend trying the dry mops, not only would they likely not adhere the results would be not be nearly as good.
• No thanks
#Spray_Mop_Floor
QUESTION: I PURCHASED THE SWFFER PADS LIKE TO NEVER GOT THEM TO STICK TO THE UNIT LATER FOUND OUT THAT SOME OF THE PADS WERE MISSING THE STRIPS. ANY ONE ELSE.
• never encountered that problem.
• No mine have been all ok. I would send them back, or just let them know what happen and they may give you another box .
#Swiffer_WetJet_Review
QUESTION: DOES THE PAD HAVE TO BE THROWN AWAY EVERY TIME I USE IT? IM HOPING THATS NOT THE CASE IF IT IS I WOULD JUST GET THE BASIC SWIFTER
• It really depends on how dirty the area is that you are mopping. I can normally get 2 or 3uses out of 1 pad if I use a basic swifter everyday. Hope this helps
• Mine is always too dirty to keep. The basic swiffer is OK for sweeping/dusting. But does not get the real dirt/spots. Just use your judgement as to how soiled it is after use.
• You do have to throw away the pad every time. Some pads have a scrubby portion so it makes it easier to scrub scum and stuff stuck to the floor.
• It depends on the area (size and amount of dirt) that you are cleaning. I am usually able to use the pad twice, but for small spaces, I have used one pad four times.
#Swiffer_WetJet_Spray_Mop_Floor
QUESTION: WHERE CAN I GET EXTRA SCRUBBING STRIPS?
• I'd order them from Amazon if you don't find them at your local retailer; Walmart, Kroger, or Target.
• Duane Reade, Walgreens and there are independent retailers who sell online.
• Walmart
• I SAW THEM IN WALMARTS.
• Walmart
#Swiffer_WetJet
QUESTION: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS ONE ( MOPPING ) AND THE WOOD FLOOR KIT?
• the wood floor kit has a special cleaner for wood floors, whereas the regular wetjet is for other surfaces and their cleaners would hurt your wood floor.
• There's really no difference. They're just scented differently. I read the ingredients on the bottle for wood floors and the regular blue bottle for all other floors and they're exactly the same. I've used both on my hardwood floors and I can't tell a difference between either type. I think the company just wants people to buy both kinds to use on different floor so they can make more money!
• In fact my wife didn't use it in wood floor. She use it to clean kitchen and bath/rest rooms floors.
#Spray_Mop_Floor
QUESTION: CAN I USE THIS ON HARD WOOD FLOORS
• Yes if you have sealed hardwooD floors.
• yes, you can. It works perfectly. It doesn't damage the woods, at least at my mom's house.
• Absolutely. They have several different cleaning solutions to choose from, including hardwood.
#Swiffer_WetJet_Review
QUESTION: DOES THE SWIFFER WETJET HAVE A BATTERY WITH IT?
• Yes, It also has a "dispenser" on the handle, just about where you would put your hand to mop. I ended up pushing the "dispenser" 4 times and had to mop all the extra cleaner. I am fairly used to not pushing the dispenser accidentally, but be aware.
• Not included. I put in four rechargeable nimh's and it's going strong after months of daily touch-ups around the kitchen, hallway and "anything goes" room for the kids.
• It requires batteries, you have to buy them. 4, standard small size, I'm not good on those letters :-))
• It has batteries. Mine was delivered with the batteries included.
• Yes
#Swiffer_WetJet_Spray_Mop_Floor
QUESTION: CAN THIS BE USED TO CLEAN OUTDOOR PORCELAIN TILES?
• yes for sure - I like this product because it can literally be used on any surface without damaging wood or tile. It's mild and effective!
• I haven't tried it on those kinds of floors but I think it would work fine
#Swiffer_WetJet
QUESTION: DOES THE WET JET WORK WELL ON CONCRETE FLOORS?
• Good question and my answer is "yes". I had a wet jet for a couple of years before I decided to try it on my garage floors. (smooth cement). Worked great. I did buy some generic pads as I was not sure it would work and did not want to waste the more expensive brand name pads. They worked just fine and am happy with the result. Since first using it with the generic store brand pads I also bought generic store brand liquid cleaning solution....my cement garage floors are clean.
• We bought it to be able to get down into the grout No luck.It does a great job on the flat tile but cant get the stains out of the grout.

QUESTION: CAN THIS SWIFFER WETJET SPRAY CLEAN BRICK FLOORS? DOES IT LEAVE ANY RESIDUE ON THE BRICKS?
• I've never used it on a brick floor.
• If they floors have a finish on them, yes, otherwiseI don't think so
• Pretty sure is just designed for wood floor,

QUESTION: DO THE PADS GO ON THE SAME WAY AS THE REGULAR SWIFFER, STUFFED IN THRU FOUR HOLES, OR IS IT ATTACHED DIFFERENTLY?
• fastened with sticky substance on bottom of pad.
• The pads are one sided and have Velcro strips.
• It is suppose to stick right to the mop head. Velcro. It works great in the bathroom. Two men in this house , if you know what I mean. Other than that ?? New off brand pads work as well for 1/4 the cost. Same with the cleaning fluid. Family Dollar has both. Save $$$
• The wetjet has Velcro that holds it on the mop just set the pad on the floor and place the mop onto it.
• They Velcro on and they are much much easier to use.

QUESTION: WHY DON'T THE NEW UNITS WORK? I CAN'T GET THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT TO OPEN SO I CAN CHANGE THE BATTERIES, AND TWO BAND-NEW UNITS JUST DON'T SPRAY.
• I can not answer the question you asked as I gave this as a gift to my grand daughter and so I do not know.
• This is a total piece of junk. I returned mine.
• can't remember but i think there's a cover on the spray (after you remove the cap) that you have to remove before you put it in the unit. I had an issue with the battery too but after much aggravation my husband took over and got them in.

QUESTION: DO YOU HAVE TO SWEEP FLOORS PRIOR TO USING THIS MOP?

• Depends! If it's just dust and minimal pet hair, then no. Anything bigger you may want to sweep first.
• Yes unless you have the one with the vacuum
• Yes
• Yes, I always sweep the floor first to get up any loose dirt. I LOVE my Swiffer mop!!!

• Did you try pushing down on the big pink button next to the bottle?? Mine pops right out.
• Mine never worked at all. I think you just toss it in the trash and forget about it.
• You have to push the button to get the bottle out.
• On the outside casing of where you put the bottle on the swiffer there should be a button you press down. You have to do this to release the bottle and be able to take it out

QUESTION: I BOUGHT A WETJET, INSERTED BATTERIES, I HEAR A CLICK, BUT NO SOLUTION SPRAYS. WHAT GIVES?
• Make sure you've got the bottle all the way in. When you hold down the button on the handle it should work. If it's just clicking, the bottle probably isn't all the way in place.
• Check to make sure the bottle of cleaning solution is seated correctly, all the way in. If you're sure it is, you may have a defective unit and should contact the manufacturer. I'm sure they will stand behind it.
