QUESTION: HOW LOUD IS IT? I'M LOOKING FOR SOMETHING QUIETER THAN MY SHARK VACUUM THAT I CAN USE AFTER THE KIDS ARE ASLEEP IN THE HALLWAY OUTSIDE OF THEIR ROOMS.
• It isnt that loud. It depends on how light of sleepers your kids are. Wouldnt bother my daughter, but would wake my son.
• It has a high pitched noise (similar to a hand held portable car vacuum) but because it is battery powered it is definitely quieter than a regular vacuum with a much more powerful motor. Be advised though that the manuafacturer recommends that once started that you let the battery run down (roughly 12-15 minutes) rather than turning off. This extends the life of the battery. I clean approximately 1,000 square feet of hardwood, tile and lenolium floors and it is still running for 2-4 more miuntes afterwards.
• It is a bit loud. My cat sure doesn't like it.
• Not too loud....about the noise of a hand held vac, but the life of the battery stinks....and then you throw away because the battery is not replaceable! Waste of money!
• Not gonna lie, it's pretty loud in my opinion however I have high ceilings & an open floor plan. If your kids are light sleepers you might want to explore other options. My 2 year old son can sleep through it but he's always been a sound sleeper.
• It's not very loud. The vacuum just doesn't pick up much of anything. Don't waste your money.

QUESTION: DOES THIS MODEL NEED TO HAVE THE BATTERY CHARGER PLUGGED IN WHEN NOT IN USE?
• No - that's why I like it; I use mine alot for small clean ups and not having to worry about plugging it in after every use is great!
• I keep my Swiffer plugged in all the time so that when I want to use it it is fully charged. This is probably the 5th one I have owned.....I love it.
• I keep it charged
• No, the battery lasts longer if you just charge it when it runs out... Don't keep plugged in all the time.

QUESTION: HOW LONG IS THE WARRANTY ON THIS? MINE WONT CHARGE AFTER 11 MONTHS.
• It depends on the battery, I suppose. Like any battery, some are fresher than others. But...don't buy a new Swiffer. I just ordered a new battery for mine, instead of buying a whole new sweeper. I don't think I can post an external link, so type Sweeper battery dot com. (of course one word web address) They only sell new batteries and it just takes removing a couple screws to put in the new one. less than half the price of a new sweeper.
• I'm not sure what it was, but 90% of products like this have a 1 yr limited warranty. Call them now!
• Not sure about the warranty, but ours lasted for three years before the battery stopped recharging. Your mileage may vary depending on how often you use the vacuum, how many recharge cycles you put the battery through, etc..

QUESTION: CAN YOU BUY REPLACEMENT BATTERY FOR SWIFFER VAC
• YES. I had the batteries changed at Interstate Batteries in Indy Indiana
• I have purchased a replacement battery for my old swiffer vac on line. While not simple to replace, there are videos on line that show you how to do it. The new battery has worked flawlessly for over a year now. I plan on replacing the battery again if either of my swiffers begin to have problems.

QUESTION: DOES THE HEAD ROTATE?
• It does rotate a little, not a lot. Since this product has been discontinued, there can be battery and charging problems (FYI)
• Yes; I'm able to vacuum under the table n chairs with easy manuverability w/o having to move the chairs out of the way.
• doesn't work
• Yes it does
• The head itself doesn't rotate on its own, but it is moveable by turning the handle while you are using it so you can get around corners, etc. Very lightweight & easy to use. I love it!
• the head itself doesn't rotate, you can turn the handle to get under chairs and tables. The 2nd unit I bought didn't hold and doesn't hold a charge, For nearly 40.00 I would expect it to hold a charge for longer than 5 minutes. Wasn't happy, am still not happy.

QUESTION: ANYONE EVER TRY TO USE WET SWIFTER PADS WITH THE SWEEP VAC?
• I have used the wet swifter pads on the sweep vac, but do not turn on the motor. I have done this a few times for a quick mop up.
• They do not recommend using the wet pads with the sweeper vac.
• I have not. but my friends have. they say it works just fine

QUESTION: CAN THIS CLEAN CARPETS
• Not easily. The pad behind the nozzle will stick to the carpet. Even if you don't use a pad, the rubberized backing doesn't slide well on carpet. You may be able to sit the Swiffer Vac over an item on carpet to suck up, but sliding the vac back and forth will be difficult.
• no
• No. It is for bare floors. It has a Swiffer pad on it to dust while it vacuums up the loose stuff.
• No, it can only clean hard surfaces.
• No, only for floors.
• It cannot, it is for bare floors such as hardwood, laminate, vinyl, etc.
• No, the swiffer can not clean the carpets.
• When cleaning a carpet the swifter catches on the carpet so I wouldn't advise. It is best for cleaning floors without carpet.

QUESTION: CAN BATTERIES BE REPLACED
• The first one I had for years got weaker and weaker and my husband looked it over and it seemed that it didn't come apart. The new one has a much stronger battery and does more floor space. Hope this helps you,
• It is rechargeable so there is no battery to replace you simply plug it in

QUESTION: HOW CAN I REPLACE THE BATTEREY
• when the battery runs out you have to buy a new swiffer sweepvac - but worth it!!!jjBattery can't be replaced and it takes about 1.5 years for the original to bite the dust!
• Battery is not replaceable.......according to the swiffer company! They say you have to buy new unit!!!!!
• I dont think you can replace the battery. It comes with a charger. I had one for 10 or more years and it finally did not work and had to get a new one and the one on Amazon is much cheaper than the one in the stores. It is the best thing ever and it lasts for many many years and you definately get your moneys worth.
• Hi Graycie, sorry, i didn't replace the battery before.

QUESTION: CAN YOU USE THE REGULAR SWIFFER CLOTHS ON THIS?
• Yes! The ones that you use for just the dry stick
• Yes. It is just like a regular swiffer but has suction as well to pick up dirt.
• Yes you can. I also buy the box of 32 dry Swiffer wipes at Walmart
• Yes, you can. It is really very easy you can swiff the floor and vac larger pieces as you go or pile the dust into a pile and vacuum it.
• Yes you can fairly easily. I have always used these with mine.
• Yes, you can use regular swiffer cloths. I use the generic ones from Dollar General as they work just as well. I have 2 cats & I love my swiffer for getting the cat fur easily.
• Yes. That is what you use.

QUESTION: CAN THE HANDLE BE SHORTENED OR BE REMOVED TO USE IT LIKE A HAND VACUUM FOR THE CAR INTERIOR OR OTHE TIGHT SPOTS?
• No!
• Yes - Probably. BUT, the size, shape and suction power are not made for use as a car vacuum and without the replaceable sheet (can't use sheet on carpet because it deposits dirt from sheet) it would be totally inadequate as a car vacuum.
• NO
• I would think so because the power is in the base not in the handle. I'm sure the handle could be removed but I don't know that it could be shortened.

QUESTION: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECHARGE THE BATTERY?
• about half an hour.....great product..I just love it
• I would say to recharge the battery takes maybe a day?? I keep two of the swiffers on hand, always good for backup
• Never really timed it...I use mine twice a day...I have a dog with long hair...and it's always ready to go when I need it..
• When the Swiffer is not in use you have it plugged in to recharge - not sure how long the recharge actually takes, but it is ready when I next use it.
